VCF Midwest 20
Funny story. OK, not funny, painful. I’d planned to exhibit my collection of Commodore 128 hardware at VCF West for its 40th anniversary…
Of course, I completely forgot that I had bought tickets to see Ghost in Chicago the same weekend.
Well, butts.
So, I replanned. How hard could it be to get three computers, three screens, and all their supporting crap halfway across the country?
Turns out, kinda hard! I had:
- Two Pelican cases for CRTs
- A roller case with power supplies, cables, drives, etc.
- An enormous rolltop backpack with two 128s on my back
- A totebag with another 128 in my hand
Fortunately, a fellow nerd was on my same flight, so I was able to arrange for them to carry a bit of it, otherwise I’d have been completely boned. Anyway, my first Midwest was pretty great, although I’m probably packing lighter for next time. Here’s some pictures!
