Just ordered an Alesis Ion synthesizer.
Officially it’s for testing out Airspace but…come on. Do I really need a reason? Look at that thing.
Also, I need to learn to be more careful about what images I store on my server. After looking over my site traffic with Analog, a server log analysis package, it turns out that the most popular file by far on the entire site is the picture of Morgan Webb giving me the finger.
This image drew three thousand hits in the last month, almost ten thousand total. A couple people are using it on some popular forums (g4tv, theforce.net, etc). Host your own images, you lazy bastards! I swear, if the hits keep up, I’m replacing it with a picture of my butt. And nobody wants that.

No, that one wasn’t directed to me. I found it by searching through an archive on one of her many fansites for an appropriate image for my award-winning (note: no actual awards won) comedy post entitled “Morgan Webb Is The Woman For Me“. That particular image gave me the idea for how to end the joke.

Any synthesizer with that many knobs (with 3 wheels!) is okay by me. Just stick to the audible region- who knows what a 25000 Hz square wave will do to your neighbors’ dogs.
Now the picture will get picked up by all of those “lj image” sites out there…which means that the picture will then be put in hundreds of forum posts..which would inspire another rant w/ the posting of the same picture….
Pretty soon you’ll be caught in a never ending cycle of bandwidth-eating resulting in the entire internet being brought down by a picure of Morgan Webb giving the bird.
I can’t wait to start fiddling around with it. Low-frequency sines + some gigantic subwoofers = entire neighborhood fleeing in terror.
