Phil, my houseplant / platonic life partner, now holds a place of esteem above my sliding glass door. Vaya con Dios, Phil.

The Ion got here, after the UPS guy conveniently left it on my porch, even taking the time to stand it up on end so it was clearly visible from the street. It’s nice. I need a new table for it.
I think the probability of the delivery driver leaving a package on the porch is directly proportional to the value of the package. It’s funny – they’ll leave a notice that signature is required for a package that is worth $10 and not deliver it, but will leave a $1000 computer on the porch. Delivery driver logic, I suppose.
It wouldn’t have been so bad if he had layed it down flat, but noooo. The box was standing up on end, with all kinds of words that indicate “there is something expensive in here” printed on it. Chump.
Well, anyway, it makes some darn interesting noises. Of course, now I need a table to put it on, and some monitors to hook it up to instead of headphones, and…

Pete was telling me last night about UPS leaving your synthasizer on your porch, meanwhile I had to drive to North Chuck last night to the UPS facility to get my camera I ordered.
